The Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Skills Competition 2023 takes place from July 3 to 9, 2023, with more than 200 candidates competing in 17 occupations, including: information technology software solutions; mechatronics; mechanical engineering design (CAD); website design and development; information technology network system administration; graphic design; installing information network cables; electrical installations; electronic; CNC machine maintenance; industrial automation; restaurant service; cooking; car technology; fashion technology; refrigeration; and beauty care.
Candidates who win high prizes at the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Skills Competition will be selected to attend the 13th National Vocational Skills Competition in 2023.
Accordingly, on July 3, candidates will get acquainted with the exam location: opening at 8 a.m. on July 4 and testing at 8 a.m. on July 5.
The 2023 City Vocational Skills Competition takes place at six councils:
The College of Technology II (HVCT) is the No. 1 exam board, with 25 candidates taking the exam for two occupations: automotive technology (16 candidates) and electrical installation (9 candidates).
The remaining exam councils include:
Cao Thang Technical College (organizes an exam for two occupations: electronics and refrigeration): 20 candidates
Thu Duc College of Technology (organizing exams for 4 occupations: Mechanical Engineering Design (CAD); Graphic Design; Information Technology Software Solutions; Website Design and Development): 77 candidates
Hung Vuong Technical Vocational College of Technology (organizing exams for 4 occupations, including: information technology network system administration; CNC machine maintenance; industrial automation; mechatronics): 41 candidates
Saigontourist School of Tourism and Hotel (organizing exam for 2 professions: restaurant service and cooking): 21 candidates
Nguyen Tat Thanh High School (organizing exams for 3 occupations: fashion technology, beauty care, and installing information network cables): 33 candidates
Up to this point, the preparation for the exam at Exam Council No. 1 according to the requirements and regulations of the Organizing Committee is basically complete. HVCT is ready to welcome delegates and candidates.
The two representatives of HVCT participating in the Automotive Technology career competition are Nguyen Huy Duong (C21) and Tran Dang Anh Vu (C19).
Contestant Tran Dang Anh Vu shared, after 3.5 years of vocational training in Automotive Technology (high quality) at HVCT under the transfer program from the Federal Republic of Germany, practicing on new cars of different brands. Therefore, I have equipped myself with a lot of knowledge and skills to confidently enter the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Skills Exam in 2023.
“The training equipment at HVCT is close to real business equipment, this is one of the advantages of developing skills and professional skills for students,” Vu said.
While waiting for graduation, in addition to practicing at the school’s workshop, Vu has been interning at Ford An Phu; Subaru Binh Duong and Kia Mazda Thao Dien.
Like Vu, Nguyen Huy Duong participated in the city-level skills competition for the first time. However, he was quite confident in the professional knowledge and practical skills imparted by the instructor during his studies and training.
