December 8, 2023 HVCT – College of Technology II held the opening ceremony for the pilot training module “complying with procedures when handling goods based on competency-based assessment” for logistics students. the course is part of the aus4skills program, a project of the australian government.

“The Competence-based Training and Assessment (CTBA) method aims to promote enterprise engagement in vocational education. The training course equips learners with knowledge and skills, thereby increasing their employment opportunities and simultaneously providing a professional, high-quality logistics workforce for Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.”
“Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Bui Van Tri, Vice Rector of College of Technology II, highly appreciated the activities of the Aus4skills program, especially the participation of all parties in designing the curriculum and preparing materials for this pilot module. College of Technology II (HVCT II) acknowledged the companionship of enterprises, which have guided vocational education institutions. Lecturers and enterprise representatives have dedicated their efforts to the course, providing knowledge and skills, and creating conditions for students to visit and practice.”
“Students will study actively, grasp knowledge, and understand the difference of the course to change their skills and attitudes, meeting the job requirements in enterprises,” Dr. Bui Van Tri stated with optimism.

Here, Ms. Lou De Castro Myles extended her congratulations to the students selected for this international project course, and encouraged them to strive to perfect their skills through the project. She noted that the ‘Competence-based Training and Assessment’ method trains students to achieve international standard skills and cultivate the necessary professional attitude for work in enterprises. Ms. Lou also informed the audience that the College of Technology II (HVCT) is one of five institutions chosen to participate in the project this year. In the coming time, the Aus4skills program will endeavor to introduce many more training programs that meet international human resource standards.

Previously (May 2023), the College of Technology II (HVCT) also awarded certificates to logistics students who completed the training course on the ‘Receiving and Storing Goods Module.’ The certificate was issued by Strategix International College. According to recruiters, possessing this certificate allows workers to find the best positions in logistics enterprises and corporations. On this occasion, HVCT and Strategix Training Group also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) – an activity within the framework of the strategic course on Competence-based Training and Assessment in the Vietnamese logistics sector.
